It is a deliberate fusion, not a coincidence Linux is the open, auditable, endlessly adaptable operating system that already runs the vast majority of the world’s industrial, embedded, and edge devices; Industry is the demanding, safety-critical, decades-long-lifecycle world of German manufacturing, energy, mobility, and healthcare that Fortune 500 enterprises operate in every day. Linduxtry exists in the space between those two words: a Darmstadt-based, German-registered engineering firm that takes the openness and flexibility of Linux and hardens it to the reliability, certifiability, and longevity that industrial and enterprise customers require.
